Dundas aqueduct – 2 ½ hours from our base in Bath.
Avoncliff/ cross guns – 3 ½ hours from our base in Bath.
Bradford on Avon – 4 – 4 ½ hours from our base in Bath.
Trowbridge – 5 ½ hours from our base in Bath.
Semington/ somerset arms – 6 ½ hours from our base in Bath.
Seend/ The barge – 8 hours from our base in Bath.
Sells green/ the three magpies – 10 hours from our base in Bath.
Foxhangers marina – 11 hours from our base in Bath.
Caenhill flight – 20 mins to 30 mins past foxhangers. (a days work doing the flight)
Devizes (top of the flight)
Pewsey – 21 hours (one way). You could do it in a week (7 days). 5 x 8 hours days. It is 42 hours return.
1 night – Bathhampton or Crossguns at Avoncliff.
1 night – OR Bradford on avon.
2 nights – Semington. Maybe slightly further.
3 nights – Seand. (Would take a couple days to get to Seand)
In 4 days (Mon – Fri S/B) – 22 hr round trip to Foxhangers.
5 nights – just before the Caenhill flight.
A week would be Pewsey. (Pewsey and back – 5 x 8 hour days)
1 lock at Bradford
2 locks at Semington
5 locks at Seand (spaced out)
That’s it until you get to bottom of caenhill flight. (29 locks)
No more locks until you reach pewsey.
