Electric Dayboat Experience: (from our Brassknocker Base)

Dundas Duck as a dayboat can easily take up to ten passengers.

As a dayboat you will find an open interior with soft cushion seats allowing you a 360 degree vision all around you.

The boat has an elegant canopy to provide shelter from the sun and rain and you'll find the sides are open for you to enjoy the views as you glide along the canal. The boat is easy to steer and glides silently along with no noise or pollution.

Please note there is no toilet or kitchen on board. We have other boats from our other base that have these facilities.

This boat is ideal for larger parties, celebrations. hen / stag parties and you are welcome to decorate the boat with bunting, banners, balloons etc and to wear fancy dress or dress in a theme such as sailors, pirates etc.

Where to Stop, Eat, and Explore on Your Journey:

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink or you can stop off at the various pubs, cafes, tearooms and restaurants you'll find along the canal towpath. Alternatively, you can order a luxury picnic hamper from our base with Gourmet Delicious. This will be supplied to your boat on arrival with ample food and drink to feed you and your guests. At the base, there is also the Angelfish Restaurant cafe where you can have breakfast, snacks, cakes, ice creams, hot meals, cream teas and hot / cold drinks.

On a full day hire, there is ample time to travel across both aqueducts travelling in an easterly direction, stopping at either Avoncliff or Bradford on Avon where there are places to visit and eat. Please note, you must leave at least 2.5 / 3 hours time for you to travel back to the base. Another option available from our Brassknocker Wharf is travelling in the other direction. It will take you around three hours to travel towards Bath, arrive at our other Sydney wharf base, moor up and there you will find a soon to open cafe and toilets you can use. Please allow three hours to return to Brassknocker Wharf.

Hire times:

Our start time for dayboat hire starts at 9.30 a.m. to allow time for arrival & instruction. If there is a special date you have in mind call us as soon as possible in order to secure the booking. October hire times are shorter due to the reduced daylight. Our electric boats do not go out during November - March.

Please NOTE: We will allocate a time slot to you according to our availability and we will always suggest the first 2 time slots.

April – September (7.5 hours)

• 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM (No later) (This time slot is only offered occasionally to you by us if our first 2 slots have been booked)

October 1st – 14th (6.5 hours)

October 15th – 31st (5.5 hours)

• 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM (No later)

Please note a pre-authorisation deposit is required using a valid debit / credit card.
